How well do you sleep when on holiday?

• I have spent over a decade staying in hotels of varying quality. If you are tired or drunk enough, you can tolerate anything for a night. Beyond that I'm for comfort. Life is too short to sleep in a bad bed. Answer by Deidre (Australia)
• I love to go on holiday and I always book twin beds but most often don't get them. At home my husband and I sleep in a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, because I am slightly built and he is a large man, when we sleep in a bed together without a memory foam mattress I wake up every time he moves in his sleep. • I hate extra firm mattresses, which is what most hotels seem to have.The last hotel I stayed at was a Hilton hotel, the bed felt like it was made of solid granite and I woke up every morning feeling like I'd slept on a rock. I find that B&Bs are better I stayed at a fabulous B&B in Maine, the bed had a pillow-top mattress that was really comfortable and I loved it. Answer by Simon (USA)

• B&Bs for me the service is more personal, particularly the one we stayed at in the UK last year. We tell all our friends to stay thier because when the boys went to pay the bill the owner bought them a beer each.
